Character Creation

The mechanics of character generation are very simple in Subrania, in keeping with a story-intensive, rules-light play-by-email format.

To create a character, follow these steps:

1. Read through the history and almanac articles to familiarize yourself with the setting.
2. Come up with a brief character concept, and email me so that we can discuss how it will fit into the campaign
3. Plan your trait priorities.
4. Write up a more detailed history for your character. Be sure to think about:
   • Where does he live?
   • What is her cultural descent?
   • Who is in his family? What is his relationship with them?
   • How does she sustain herself? Has she followed in her parents' footsteps, or chosen another path?
   • Can he read and write?
   • How old is she? Bear in mind that the four two-year chapters will add eight years to her age before the game starts.
5. Email me with the detailed version, and we'll start the character chapters! Once those are done, the "regular" gaming begins.
